Fugitive emission refers to the micro leakage of the medium from the sealing points of a valve (mainly the stem and body gasket) into the environment. With increasingly strict environmental regulations, fugitive emission testing has become an important indicator of valve quality.
ISO 15848 and API 624 specify the test method, the measurement of leakage and the classification of tightness classes. The testing focuses on the measurable leakage at the valve stem and body gasket.
The witness method: if the factory has test equipment, we can witness on site; if not, samples can be sent to the laboratory. Turnaround is about 14 working days.
